Why:

The assignment was to create a wireless speaker after studying different types of forms. I decided to focus on a speaker that would be used in outdoor events and parties, since the magic of the boombox has gone away with the arrival of modern speakers.

What:

I decided to make an over-the-shoulder wearable wireless speaker that was inspired by The Bean in Chicago and other similar rounded figures. During the next semester, I decided to revamp the product with silicone pads underneath the 2 legs of the speaker and a volume control slider on the top in order to make a poster for it.

How:

When sketching, I decided to make a moodboard to help me understand the forms and sketch over them to practice sketching rounded forms. I then used pink foam to make the model and spackled it. For the poster I used Solidworks, Keyshot, Adobe Illustrator, then finally Adobe Indesign.
